News for presenters

All panels will be held at the Hotel Indigo (810 Red River Street), which is located on the corner of Red River and East 9th Street.

There will not be A/V in the meeting rooms

• Presenters who have images to show are encouraged to bring handouts. Another option is to utilize the public folder option on Dropbox or share on Google Docs with attendees.

While panels have varying numbers of presenters, participants should plan for 15-20 minute presentations

SECOLAS also encourages that following all presentations of a given panel that the audience have 3-5 minutes to consult with a neighbor in the room to help articulate questions and comments for the presenters.

• Presenters too are encouraged to take a couple of minutes to interact with their fellow panelists to begin formulating comments and questions for the Q&A.

This advice, of course, is free to be ignored.

2020 Meeting and COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Participants are urged to use their best judgment regarding travel to Austin and participation in SECOLAS’ annual meeting. The conference will continue as planned.

Be advised that participants who have paid the registration fees and choose not to attend the annual meeting will not receive a refund at this late stage.
